SWEC has modern teaching facilities based at St George Private and Public Hospitals with the most advanced laparoscopic and audio-visual equipment. SWEC course participants are exposed to the latest in gynaecological surgery from 7 expert laparoscopic surgeons with lectures and hands-on practice in operating and laparoscopic suturing techniques.
Lectures and tutorials take place in contemporary lecture spaces with modern medical teaching features such as video relay directly available from operating theatres. SWEC has also invested heavily in state of the art digital video editing equipment to record, edit and disseminate surgical procedures. Each participant will receive a full set of these procedures on CD as part of their course documentation.
Participants also have easy access to the animal laboratory, which exists within the St George Hospital complex, and is associated with the anatomy department of the University of NSW, Kensington, where our cadaveric teaching sessions are conducted.
